How do I download, install, and use the Mac version?

Office 365 Web and Mac Exponam.Connect

The browser and macOS versions of Exponam.Connect are designed to work within the capability set available on the macOS version of Excel.  The macOS version is a great tool for accessing smaller data sets; however, power users who routinely work with large amounts of data are encouraged to use Exponam.Connect Pro on a PC.  Data import speeds are much faster on the PC platform – a 1.1 million row file is imported on a PC in 12 seconds, whereas it takes 10 minutes on a Mac.

Mac Exponam.Connect Use

Click the “Import from Delta Sharing” button to open the Exponam.Connect task pane.  The pane opens as a narrow window on the right side of Excel.  Drag the pane edge to expand it across Excel.

Click the (+) button to add shares by selecting a .share file.

Click the share in the Connections pane to expand the navigation tree.  Click a table to generate a preview of the data. 

You can create filters and save views for repeat use.

Once you are satisfied with your filters, you can import the data by clicking “Import to Excel.”
